Formats et Finishes

Shaped by our teams of stone cutters with the help of modern machines, Burgundy stones present a very similar finish to that of the ancient flagstones and old stones found on the floors of ancient buildings.

With its variety of tones, formats and finishes, stone can blend beautifully into every situation, replicating the patina of old flagstones.

Natural stone is hard-wearing, easy to maintain and, unlike other materials, it grows more beautiful with time. Cleaning with water, or water mixed with black soap, promotes surface oxidisation and thus the appearance of the patina. It is this protective layer that makes your paving look so authentic and beautiful.

FINISHES

There are a variety of finish options to give an aged look to the paving:

Brushed – the edges are sawn,

Flamed and brushed – the edges are sawn or chipped (flaming can only be applied to hard stones: Comblanchien and Corton),

Rounded edges and a slightly convex surface.
